Caussade. SACB opens its season with a home tournament

In order to properly prepare for future championship matches, Sport athlétique caussadais basket (SACB) is organizing a men’s pre-season tournament on Sunday, September 18.

Hugo Rabot will be able to rely on his entire young squad and the return of two players who have developed at the club, Mathieu Duranda and Rayane Acchaboune. The amalgamation should be done quickly in this group, which will rely on the qualities of previous seasons, namely: an aggressive defense and an attack that relies on the success of its shooters, without forgetting the interior sector, which can be decisive. This early season tournament pits 6 teams against each other: the Gersoise team from Jegunu, who play in regional 2; team 1 from Colomiers, which is developing into a pre-national; team 2 from Montauban from regional 2; the Entente Aveyron Basket/Alba team from regional 2 and the Saint-Jory team that just advanced to the regional 2 group stage and will finish at the René-Barguès gymnasium.

Goal: find automatisms

All of these teams aim to find automatisms to be ready to approach their championships. Catering will be provided by the SACB leaders, who will work all day for the well-being of the players.

The Occitanie Youth Championship also kicks off this weekend.

On behalf of the first day, today, Saturday September 17, the women U 15 Caussade / Montpezat will go to the hall of Basket Comminges / Salies-du-Salat (start of the match at 1 p.m.). They will develop in Group B, which consists of the teams Basket Comminges/Salies-du-Salat, Tarbes Gespe-Bigorre 2, Étoile sportif gimontoise, Laloubère 1, Elan Colomiers/Tournefeuille Basket 1. In other words, high level. These young under-15s will be looking to have a great season after a learning curve that wasn’t always rewarded with results last season.
