The preparation for the start of the outdoor sports season was complicated by exceptional weather conditions.
The ban on watering the lawn resulted in the closure of many fields. Football and rugby had to find alternative solutions to train. But it can be thought that future opponents of the Mazametain Country teams also underwent the same restrictions.
Rugby: supporters invited to the Chevalière. In their first game of the season in La Chevalière, Sporting Club Mazamétain will host Gersois from L’Isle-Jourdain.
Entrance to the stadium will be free until 1:30 p.m. Inside the stadium, sales will be organized with Pam’ and her mobile creperie and Gaec Lassalle and her grilled meat. Fans will be able to meet while tasting the good products of these producers. The meeting is scheduled for 3.30pm and the curtain raiser with the hopes at 1.30pm at the La Lauze pitch.
USAM will open their season at the René-Carayol Stadium against Sidobre Montagne XV at 1:30 PM for Team 2 and against Valencia d’Albi at 3:00 PM for Team 1. A paella meal will be served at the stadium before the game.
Football: FC Pays Mazamétain in the opening. The Pays Mazamétain football club will open its season in La Chevalière this Saturday at 20:00 with the reception of Aveyronnais from Saint-Affrique. After a very good performance despite the defeat in the Coupe de France, FCPM can harbor some ambitions this season. But it will take a flawless performance to earn the right to reach the top flight next season. So there is no right to miss this evening against a solid Saint-Affrique team.
It will also be the start of the season for other clubs in Mazametain. In D2, Labrespy hosts the Marsals on Sunday at 15:00 and FCPM 2 moves to Briatexte on Saturday at 20:00. In D3, FCPM 3 will travel to Lacaune on Saturday at 20:00 and Payrin Rigautou will host Pays d’Agout on Saturday at 20:00.
