Veterans of the football club celebrated

It’s been a great weekend under the bright sun since Friday evening, September 9, when the veterans of the football club took part in the spectacular Saint-Hilaire-de-Brethmas tournament. A warm meeting where six dedicated teams came together.

At the end of the various encounters, the team finished second with great performances against brave opponents of the evening, but great partners for a glass of friendship. We congratulate the spirit of the group, leading to this great recruitment, without forgetting the organizers of this great festive moment.

It was Sunday, a day of “emotions” with the special anniversary of the opening of the season of the couple François and Jean Michel Durand. A day in honor of their son Guillaume, who died more than a year ago in a tragic paragliding accident. Seventy people paid a powerful tribute to their beloved boy.

Françoise and Jean Michel Durand received a plant and a very beautiful trophy from President Thierry Reboul and Club Treasurer Christian Meron as a tribute to their son.

This was followed by a large open buffet, where the 70 guests present could appreciate the qualities of the chefs, who are still as dedicated and accessible as ever. Just a passing note that AAESV Foot Vézénobres is definitely one of the few teams that have more than six chefs in their ranks.

Around 3pm the petanque competition started with over thirty participants, prizes for the best ladies in the table (1/2 finals) and the winners with a thrilling final until the end ended this beautiful day around 8pm.
